THIS EXHIBIT TALKS ABOUT THE SMALLEST CREATURES AMONG OUR PLANET THAT ARE IMPORTANT, AS IMPORTANT AS ANYBODY. WERE RIGHT NEXT TO THE MAMMALS NEXT TO THE ZEBRA AND OUR YOUNG FILLY. IT’s All About Creatures Big and Small. ALEX: WHEN YOU’RE STROLLING THROUGH HERE YOU COME ACROSS MASSIVE BUGS. THERE NEXT TO THE ZEBRAS, WERE ALMOST TO THE OUTPOST OR PEOPLE TAKE A BREAK. A new seasonal attraction is flying into the Louisville Zoo teaching people about the importance of Anthrophods. “IncrediBUGS” features 18 enormous animatronic bugs and insects, bringing into epic proportions the fascinating world of these small intricate creatures.Guests can expect to see different species of colorful beetles, ants and an ant mound, a cicada, butterflies, a firefly, a stink bug, a ladybug, a peacock jumping spider, a dragonfly, a walking stick, a katydid, a caterpillar and a hissing cockroach — all waiting to be discovered as wind your way through the Zoo. “I think what’s really cool about this exhibit is that some of the insects are the size of your fingernail but they are enormous in this exhibit so you can see the details you can hear the sounds they make,” said Kyle Shepherd with the Louisville Zoo .According to a release, Arthropods buy as much as 85% of all Known Animal Species on Earth and Include Insects, Spiders, Crustaceans and Myriapods. They act as pest control, pollinators and provides food source for amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.incredibugs is free with zoo admission.
